Tromsø Adventure enjoys a steady stream of customers
Tromsø Adventure is a partnership between five regional tourism companies that offers the complete packages for experiences, transport and accommodation. Most customers come from abroad, and the Internet is key to raising awareness of their products to adventure-thirsty tourists.
The website is their main sales tool, and Google Analytics shows them what works and what needs improvement. They can see who visits their site and where the visitors come from – which is priceless information for them. Based on this data, Tromsø Adventure also uses AdWords to target certain markets.
“Our last AdWords campaign had very surprising results,” says CEO Inga Reker. “There was significantly more traffic on our website, and we began to receive far more enquiries by email right away. Google is a little bit like going on a fishing trip. There are lots of fish in the sea – all you have to do is be smart and pick the right place to cast your line.”
