Scurri | Delivery management for online sellers

Delivery management solution for online sellers becomes truly mobile

Like so many business start-ups, Scurri began life as an epiphany. CEO and Founder Rory O’Connor bought a set of car wheels online, and then realised that delivery would cost more than the wheels themselves. After an extensive search, he found a local transport company that regularly passed close by the seller, and they offered to deliver his purchase for a third of the price he’d been quoted online. Scurri was born, and the company has since evolved from organising deliveries for consumers to providing delivery technology to major eCommerce businesses. But it’s Google Apps for Work that has helped turn Scurri into a truly mobile company. “We needed something that would allow us to work across multiple platforms and time zones, so we opted for Apps for Work,” says Rory O'Connor, CEO and Founder. The Scurri team is now 14 strong, and Apps helps them to always stay in touch while they are out on the road. “It’s given us great flexibility because people don’t need to connect to a specific server, and it’s accessible from multiple platforms, which keeps things simple,” says Rory. “Managing our own server would be much more complex and would probably have cost us ten times as much.”
