From a fledgling, Kakadu starts to spread its wings
In just a few years, Kakadu has evolved from a small company with a digital store into a recognised provider of quality products for children, expanding its presence both in classic retail as well as wholesale. According to Operations Manager Irene Makovec, this rapid growth is largely thanks to Google advertising since this allows the firm to track sales conversions. "It allows us to identify exactly what is valuable and what is not, which forms of advertising work and which don't." She added: "We are growing so fast that we do not have time to try all the possibilities offered by Google." The range of AdWords and other Google advertising tools in use at the company has brought about quite a few changes – the team of employees has been strengthened and the advertising budget has almost completely moved online. Although also present on various other digital platforms, Google is nevertheless an essential component of Kakadu's continuing existence. As Irena Maovec says: "Google's products have a positive impact on sales growth – I can always count on that."
