ChipsAway Abingdon’s business booms by 15–20%
David Greenaway owns the Abingdon franchise of ChipsAway, the UK’s leading minor car body repair specialist. Because the area David caters to is very small – it only has a 15-mile radius – he has to be extremely careful how he targets potential customers. Additionally, the majority of David’s time is taken up with working on cars, leaving very little left for marketing. This is where Google AdWords comes in. When David launched a new website in 2013, he began to realise the potential of AdWords to drive highly targeted traffic. “All of a sudden, within three weeks, we actually started to generate a lot of leads,” David says. “I realised the power of AdWords very quickly because we made money from it.”
Since then, Google AdWords has been responsible for a 15–20% increase in business. Now, David refines his AdWords ads and keywords continuously to see how effectively the tool is working for him. And given that David is currently moving to new and improved premises, it looks like AdWords is performing pretty well.
