Flexitreks cycling holidays surpass first-year targets

Co-founders Ally and Andy Harmer are passionate cyclists and have both enjoyed successful careers in the travel industry. In 2013, they decided to create Flexitreks, a website offering European leisure cycling holidays. They first tried to advertise their new business through cycling publications with no success. On the other hand, Google AdWords provided a quick and easy way to get the company in front of people online. “AdWords has been so effective that we’ve surpassed our targets for the first year,” says Managing Director Andy Harmer. “We advertise in the UK and to other English-speaking countries around the world, such as the USA, Australia and Canada, and Google helps me tailor my campaigns to those markets.” As far as Andy is concerned, the whole process has been so smooth with the help of Google experts that “it’s easy to forget that a few years ago you couldn’t have done what we have – start a company selling products from the back bedroom of our house and be in a position to let the whole world know what we offer.”
