Online organic food shop sees orders shoot up

When mother of three Maïa Quéré’s second child was born, she realised how hard it was to find products for children with food intolerances. So in 2006, she set up her own online shop: graine-de-bonne-sante.com.

Since its launch, the site has grown to offer nearly 400 organic food lines for children. Maïa opened a Google AdWords account to spread the word about her shop, and that’s when orders really shot up. “Since 2007, our turnover has gone up 15% each year,” she explains. “And 25% of our yearly profits stem from AdWords campaigns.”

In fact, the approach has proven so successful that in 2009 Maïa took on an assistant. Today she’s delighted that her site’s online visibility rivals that of the sector’s bigger players. Maïa explains: “We use Google Shopping together with AdWords to highlight the products we’re competitive on. Google products help us improve awareness of the business, boost orders and therefore increase turnover.”
