Feddet Camping appeals to even more guests online

Feddet Camping is one of Denmark’s biggest and best situated campsites. Its ultra-modern facilities can host up to 2,000 guests, and Google AdWords is currently one of its most important tools for attracting them.

The site is currently owned and run by Ivan Reedtz-Thott, and has been in his family since 1960. Ivan explains: “Before the credit crunch, Danes invested heavily in camping equipment, while sites in Denmark were also modernised. Since the crisis it’s been a struggle to maintain this positive development. We’ve moved some of our marketing budget online because that’s where the guests are. AdWords has definitely created lots of traffic for us and ensured that we bring guests who are ready to make a decision to our webpage.”

He continues: “I use all of Google’s products to drive my business forwards. Google Analytics to optimise my website, Google Places to give guests a glimpse of the campsite, Gmail and all the others – because Google is easy. There’s one password for the lot, and it’s easy to move between devices.”
