Cotswold Balloon Safaris, launched in the summer of 2014, offers hot air balloon flights over the picturesque Cotswolds countryside as well as in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire. Every day, Google AdWords enables Owner and Pilot, Captain Mike Jennings to “be the master of my own destiny.” Mike is very clear about the benefits AdWords offers him. “My business is brand new,” he says, “and from nothing, AdWords has helped me create brand awareness, launched me into the marketplace, and kept me in the marketplace by driving traffic to my site.” His success with AdWords has been partly driven by the knowledge he has picked up in Google webinars. “I’ve learned how to make my ads more targeted, which means I can use my budget more effectively,” he explains. By analysing his AdWords performance, Mike has discovered potential customers are often browsing at lunchtime and in the early evening, so he targets them at those times. Advice from Google has also inspired Mike to start a blog on Google+ called The Captain’s Log. “At the end of the day,” says Mike, “I couldn’t have started and sustained my business without Google and AdWords.”
