Online advertising puts Autoverleden.nl on the road to success
Ben Veenman, the owner of Autoverleden.nl, runs a business where potential buyers can enquire about the claims history of a vehicle, the number of previous owners and its mileage. Autoverleden.nl was launched in 2007, and Veenman started to use Google AdWords straightaway. He began using it on a small scale, which meant that growth was minimal at first. At the end of 2012 however, Veenman began to make more intensive use of AdWords, and the result was amazing – an increase of 558% from 2012 to 2013. What’s more, this upward trend continued a year later, increasing by 334% from 2013 to 2014. Veenman explains: “One of the biggest factors behind our growth is our use of AdWords, in addition to good products and a smart website. And of course we’re running more campaigns, we’ve got wider coverage and we’ve created new products.” There is still room for growth within the Netherlands, so for the time being, Veenman is not looking beyond its borders.
Google will undoubtedly continue to play a major role for Autoverleden.nl in the future. Veenman is now beginning to target the B2B market – again with the help of AdWords. “Thanks to Google,” he says, “I can sit at my PC every day, and I have a gold mine of information at my fingertips. Many roads lead to Rome, but for me Google AdWords is certainly one of the main ones.”
