Bordeaux tour operator becomes known the world over
Since 2008, the operator 33Tour Bordeaux & Châteaux has organised holidays and wine tours in the French region for visitors from all over the world. Xavier Gourdelle, Founder and Company Director, has been using the Google search engine since the company began. “I created the website myself but when I started, I didn’t know how to spread the word about it. From the outset, Google helped me find all the tools I needed.” The business sells exclusively online. This means all its marketing links to the site. With a presence on Google+, Facebook and TripAdvisor among others, the company relies on search engine optimisation. “Our turnover has been going up since we launched, and that’s in spite of the financial crisis. Now we’re enjoying global visibility and today we’re in a position to compete with the biggest traditional agencies in the market.” Xavier especially likes the fact that the Google products he uses are free and easy to use, and the possibilities they provide for collaboration within his company. “Google has enabled us to get ourselves known across the world and therefore to grow over the years.”
