Hotel and restaurant business uses AdWords to raise its profile

Hotel Rappen was established in 1962 in the heart of Freiburg, the largest city in Germany’s Breisgau region. It features its own restaurant, employs some 30 people and has been run by Nino Ebner since 2012. Although the hotel already had its own online presence, it wanted to raise its profile and promote its services more effectively. “We’ve been using Google AdWords for a year and a half now,” explains Owner Nino Ebner. The business spends about 50% of its marketing budget on online marketing tools. The other half is invested in flyers and brochures. Hotel Rappen has a Facebook page, using it to provide information to its followers. “Google products are logically designed, which makes them easy to use,” says Ebner. “So we use AdWords to reach potential customers who wouldn’t otherwise necessarily have found us.”
