YouTube network grows from 1m to 900m views per month in three years
When the DIVIMOVE (www.divimove.de) YouTube network was launched in Berlin in 2012 to help YouTube channel operators make their channels and content more professional. DIVIMOVE now works with a total of 1,700 partner channels. “Our business model was founded on YouTube, and it was YouTube that helped us grow,” explains DIVIMOVE’s Co-founder and Managing Director Philipp Bernecker. “By helping talented artists build their own popular site, we are also in turn contributing to the success of YouTube.” Bernecker believes the video platform’s key benefit lies in the many possibilities open to channel operators and their content to build a global fan base. DIVIMOVE also sees itself as a global company; besides Germany it is also active in Italy, France, Poland, Spain and the Netherlands. According to Bernecker, other Google products have also made significant contributions to this rapid growth: “Google and its products enable us to grow as a young company and keep a good handle on our resources. In our first year we got a million views a month. This year we’re heading towards the billion mark per month.”
