SORTEDfood’s YouTube channel grows to become a community of 1 million foodies worldwide
SORTEDfood started life as a YouTube channel a few years ago when a group of friends wanted to share their discovery that cooking wasn’t as hard as it looked. “We realised YouTube was free and easy to use,” says Co-Founder Jamie Spafford, “so we made a short film showing how to make a pizza. After we got our first comment from a viewer in Australia asking for another recipe, things kind of took off by themselves.” Today, SORTEDfood is a community of over 1 million people from all over the world, whose input in the form of recipes, tips and tricks shapes the films that go on the YouTube channel. SORTEDfood uses YouTube analytics to make sure the advertising it carries and the brands it partners with are always appropriate and add value and credibility to its channel. But SORTEDfood is far more than just a YouTube channel. “Thanks to YouTube,” Jamie says, “we’ve grown to become a total online platform which offers an app and a range of SORTEDfood utensils that includes pots and pans and kitchen scales. I don’t think there’s a limit to where we can go.
Thanks to YouTube, we’ve grown to become a community of over 1 million people.
