Yummy Mummy Maternity generates healthy revenue

Founded in 2003, Yummy Mummy Maternity is an online retailer of fashionable maternity and nursing clothes. In the past three years, Google AdWords has helped Yummy Mummy Maternity to grow revenue and brand awareness. The tool has enabled the company to reach a much wider audience and sales have increased 25-fold. “For every £100 invested in AdWords, I will probably get around £470 worth of sales,” says Owner Zoe Chinman. “It’s brilliant. Sometimes we have to turn AdWords off so we can catch our breath.” As business has grown, the number of staff has doubled. AdWords also puts Zoe’s business on a level playing field with the major maternity suppliers in the UK, which has been particularly beneficial to Yummy Mummy Maternity’s market. “Because I’m dealing with pregnant people, I don’t get customers long-term. Also, they won’t buy until they’re 12 weeks pregnant or after 30 weeks,” says Zoe. “So, I’ve only got 18 weeks to sell to these ladies, and so this is where AdWords really helps.
