Yoga on Crete reaches potential customers all over the world
Eugenia Sivitou owns a yoga retreat called Yoga on Crete, hidden away in a remote village in Sfakia. Eugenia first experimented with Google AdWords in 2007. Since optimising her website in 2013, she has been using it to successfully target visitors looking for alternative yoga holidays. She says, “I like Google AdWords because it's fast to use. You know straight away if your ads are paying off and you can adjust them at any time to achieve the results you want.” Today, 70% of Yoga on Crete’s guests come from Western Europe and Scandinavia. Using Google tools allows Eugenia to compete with large hotels on Crete, offering alternative packages for customers despite relatively limited resources. Eugenia says, “the web is amazing. From my house in a tiny village in Sfakia, I can reach yoga lovers who live in places that are so small and unfamiliar – all I have to do is search on Google to find out where they are.”
