Tooitaly | Studded PVC bags

From Ibiza to China, YouTube helps to launch Too Italy bags

Too Italy is a handbag brand created by Giovanna Gentili and Alessia Stendardo, with several outlets in Italy. The brand stands out as it uses studded PVC, an unusual material, which makes the bags extremely durable.

To promote its unique products, the company makes extensive use of social networks and its own PR department, advertises on TV, in trade journals and online, and publishes a popular blog. However, according to the founders, YouTube has played a pivotal role in the company’s strategy. “It’s allowed us to reach many users with minimal effort. YouTube has helped to create awareness of our brand among the public, and it’s also getting us noticed in the industry, resulting in invitations to trade fairs and other events.”

The results speak for themselves. “We’re already signing contracts with companies in key foreign markets and, thanks to digital channels, our sales have been rising sharply. In the beginning, they were doubling month on month. We’ve come a long way since we first had the idea for our bags, and YouTube has allowed us to assess our product’s potential before going live.”

One of the brand’s objectives is to expand the sales network using specialist fashion e-commerce sites. Meanwhile, sales outside Italy now account for 20 percent of online revenue.

Thanks to digital channels, our sales have been rising sharply.
