Digitalakademin helps massage business get hands-on with digital
Digitalakademin captured the imagination of Anette Fernström as soon as she heard about it via a network for growth companies. It marked the start of a long digital journey for her company Hälsoresurs, which collaborates with around 120 masseuses to offer massage services for businesses and corporate events across Sweden.
Hälsoresurs began to reap the benefits almost immediately. “We felt that our business needed a revamp, but none of us really knew how to approach it, so Digitalakademin was incredibly important. I gained insight, knowledge and inspiration. And I acquired the tools to help me build a new website and become better at specifying requirements.” Equipped with a broad set of expertise, Anette began work digitalising her company with help from external consultants and new, improved internal systems that resulted in less administrative work for her. “We work in an industry that is not particularly digital, but having digital internal systems make us an attractive prospect as a supplier. By digitalising internal processes, we’ve significantly reduced our costs – what we previously spent on administration, we can now invest in recruiting new staff and developing the business,” says Anette, who has turned her attention outwards and has hired a communications advisor to develop a strategic communications plan.
“As a result of Digitalakademin, we also decided to appoint someone to work on our digital communications. It’s a pretty major investment for a small company like ours, but it feels great,” says Anette, whose new colleague joined at the beginning of April 2017. She is convinced that the boost in expertise will generate returns in many ways. “I’ve lost count of how many people I’ve recommended Digitalakademin to. This kind of support is invaluable, especially when it’s free of charge,” she concludes.
