Gorgona online shop sells high-tech equipment for rock climbing, cycling, skiing and other outdoor pursuits. The company began advertising with Google AdWords in 2011. For Webmaster Zvezdelin Nedyalkov, it is Google’s best product: “Our website has greater visibility in searches, boosting sales and making our more expensive high-tech products more popular than mass market fare.”
Zvezdelin says the advertising tool has also helped them even out the ratio of returning customers to new customers. This is a great achievement, because high-quality sports goods tend to sell to a limited circle of clients. Zvezdelin sees AdWords as helping attract new business through precisely targeted keywords and new product campaigns: “Advertising with AdWords helps us maintain greater stock, and therefore offer a broader range of products.” Gorgona also relies on Google Analytics, which helps the online shop target future advertising campaigns and streamline its operations.
