Football Addicts | Offers a football app than can be used to follow teams and matches

Football app proves a real crowd pleaser

In 2012, Football Addicts company Co-founder and CEO Patrik Arnesson, along with three colleagues, launched the Forza Football app, which allows fans to follow their favourite team and keep up to date with matches. Part of the firm’s vision was to let fans become more involved in football and give them a forum to share their views and opinions with other supporters.

Football Addicts developed an Android app and use Google Play as their distribution channel. A total of 6 million users have downloaded the app so far, and there are currently 2.5 million active users. Patrik says: “It's a fantastic platform. Without Google Play we’d never have reached out to all these users. It makes it easy to track where people are downloading the app, which parts of it they’re using, and what we need to focus on.”

Google Play is also an important communications channel between users and the developer, as Patrik explains: “The best thing about Google Play is that we can communicate directly with our customers. So we can find out what they like and dislike, and we’re made aware of any program errors immediately so we can fix them.”
